Content wise great fewer and fewer bugs Good progress                 Wsj ap
App                 Awesome
Would like access to the iPad version on the iPhone 6 Also this app does a horrible job at refreshing to the latest days paper on the iPhone Today I am looking at a 4 day old wsj and cannot get it to refresh to todays paper        Meh
no background updating even manually updating doesnt bring articles onto the phone consistently for reading offline subway extremely frustrating content in WSJ seems to shrink by the day to the point where its almost embarrassing for the 2 national newspaper and 1 financial newspaper brand     Shrinking content and poor app functionality
I read several newspapers on my iPhone including WSJ NYT and WP I open the apps on the subway which is underground so there is no internet connection and read the news which was automatically downloaded in the background earlier that morning This works great in NYT and WP apps The only app that is completely helpless when you open it offline is the WSJ app Instead of displaying articles downloaded earlier it shows a blank screen with a spinning icon and it just keeps spinning It never gives up and shows me the articles it already has Nope the thinking here seems to be Yes I have some old articles but I will NOT show them to you until you give me an internet connection The whole point of background refresh in iOS is that I get uptodate news without having to manually open and download the news every time Again I never have this problem with the apps from New York Times and Washington Post If their developers can do it why cant yours This has been going on for YEARS now You recently released a BRAND NEW VERSION of your app and the same old problem is STILL THERE WHY Please fix these critical issues your paying subscribers deserve a working app     WSJ app still useless offline
I love the app the paper Always have always will                 Best Paper in the US
I love the WSJ app for the iPad It looks like the paper edition and allows me to review previous articles away from home Love it              WSJ App for the iPad is Excellent
I like having access to the WSJ on my iPhone but the app has trouble refreshing Today is September 14 but the articles that show when I open the app are from September 1 and when I attempt to refresh the app tells me it is already up to date I had a similar issue with the prior version of the app but thought it had been resolved along with the slooooooooow load speeds Guess I was wrong It is a huge bummer        Update issues
Just FYI something called data compression exists please use technology to save storage on iOS devices           Data compression
Good                 Good
Have had no issue with the iPad version of the app However when using my iPhone the app refuses to update Headlines and articles are always dated despite the app telling me it is up to date Problem has persisted from my 4s thru 6 Makes the app useless on my phone     Content doesnt update
There is no doubt that the content of the WSJ is top notch However in their attempt to add glitzy adds and special effects to a news source they have created a product that works intermittently There are many mornings where I attempt to access a story and am greeted with a blank page The technical support department is singularly unresponsive and not helpful The three complaints sent in have all been responded to in 1 paragraph emails instructing me to uninstall and reinstall the product 3 generations ago I would have given this app 5 stars I hope they return to their previous high level of quality As it stands now I am considering discontinuing use of the WSJ app and returning to a paper copy     WSJ lost its way
Way too slow loading to my iPad Can you improve this        Too slow
Doesnt let me delete old editions so it ends up consuming a ton of space     Terrible update doesnt let me delete old editions
Very good layout Easy to navigate yet loaded with great WSJ stories The first place I go to for daily news                 Great App
Washington DC Sept 10 An area man and new user of the WSJ App who agreed to talk with reporter on condition of anonymity says the app seems to be working fine so far On the other hand he did complain that this reporters request for his opinion so early in his ownership history was a problem because he had hardly had time to use the app at all by press time              WSJ App Is Fine New User Says
It is nice enough to earn 4stars if layout changes closer to IPAD version              Its splendid app
Cest vraiment fantastique de pouvoir lire en route et jadore tout ce dont que je peux trouver sur le site a nimporte quel moment de la journée Merci WSJ                 WSJ
Nice Kept me informedI love it                 Mustang
App if good if you are interested in reading or treating it like a newspaper Content are available based on the edition youre reading Full website and ability to comment are not available           Nice app but lack of some basic functionality
Have no problems so far                 Works great
This iteration has gone a long way from a year ago where the recent articles wouldnt load properly I pay for a WSJ subscription and its a good companion app nothing extraordinary There are still issues with articles being pulled properly and my sections dont load normal           Once the app works its great
Ad bar too big           Ad bar too big
How do i uninstall this Someone help please     HELP
The paper is very easy to navigate Articles are done well                 Joe Lewk
This is one of my essential news apps for iPhone and iPad Easy to navigate read and share the Journals timely news stories makes this a goto app                 Essential
Great app                 Great app
The app still gives me funky bouts where it refuses to load current stories and is still stuck on stories from a week ago Overall its a useful app if you have time to deal with its antics           Its ok
The app continues to improve Downloads are fast and seem to prioritize content not ads Important in poor bandwidth environments Reporting has been excellent and seemingly getting better imho The number of ads continues to be obnoxious Every other page is an ad I pay a premium for content Cool it with that              Think they nearly have it right
Works well Easy to navigate Looks good on my iPhone 6 and is easy to read              Very happy with this app
Love the WSJ app Elegant intuitive clean and a joy to explore One minor small complaint one of the recent updates reduced the space between the columns That makes it hard sometimes Sometimes a line from one column seems to lead into a line of the next Go back to the previous column formatting and youll have a perfect app                 Great newspaper great app
Does the job Gotta have WSJ on my phone              Mostly good
Great app Easy to navigateno complaints                 Pleasure to read
The ability to control the amount of outdated content is missing This one simple function causes me to delete and reload the app almost weekly to keep the size down If not it balloons to become my singular largest space hogand sometimes space still matters           One major flaw
Can be a little slow but Im enjoying it this far              Like it
I find the WSJ app automatically opens when using my iPad and iPhone I really like not having to put in my password information each time                 Easy to Use
Very well done                 Great app
I normally never give reviews But when a notification on The Wall Street Journal app popped up and asked me to rate it I said Sure why not considering that I was staring at a blank loading screen for 5 minutes by this point already I dont really understand how this app has such a good rating unless other news apps are absolutely horrendous and worse than this which I find hard to believe Never loads anything unless youre standing next to a wifi router Takes up a huge amount of space and data which makes no sense Articles never refresh and update even though the app will say that it has the most recent content Need to reset content every time I open the app so the stories will actually load This app is almost useless and it needs a huge improvement especially considering how much we pay for a subscription Sorry WSJ     Needs a huge improvement
And I could navigate the whole edition Helps me keep up to date anywhere Still indepth articles I prefer on paper              Important news fast
What works push notifications and Notification Center What doesnt the app It DOES NOT update content The ONLY way I have been able to do this is by going in to preferences and selecting reset content manually which I do not want I do EVERY time I open the app My subscription is completely useless if I cant see updated stories just by opening the app UPDATE even after the last app update it still does not automatically refresh content     Does not work
The iPhone app will not update correctly most of the time and when it does it takes forever even on fast wifi     Good content poor app
Now works sometime but often freezes or fails to update           New version slightly better
This app is a great way to stay on top of global news                 Great App
Greatly appreciate being able to access WSJ via iPhoneiPad no matter where I am Love the index feature providing overview of articles in each section Wish your editorials were a bit more evenhanded but quality of the rest of the paper is ample compensation                 Great App and paper
Easy to use and very good way to view the news              Great app
Love it              Great App
The app is back to saying already up to date when stories are still old Have to reinstall to force updating Not good Please fix     Does not update reliably
I look forward to reading the Journal every day The news is accurate and intelligent without the liberal slant of the other news sources I think the Journal works better on a laptop with a more paper like layout I find the IPhoneIPad app a little frustrating It would not prevent from viewing the paper but the PCM version is much more comprehensive and easier to use                 Great news Sourxe
This version of the app is the worst Ive seen in all of my years of my subscription The home page does not upload daily like it used to Needs to be changed     Need to make changes
I give it 2 stars all of which is for the amazing content The app has major issues and they are old well known and remain unaddressed It crashes constantly freezes really And its supposed to update and download each issue whenever on wifi without intervention But it is completely unreliable often requiring an Internet connection in spite of uninterrupted hours of wifi connectivity during which it could concievably update itself        Constant crashes does not update as it should
